This is my idea:
Sometimes people doesn't need the whole features stablished in the product (3ds max 2018 in this case), so you should make a better managed modular installer (and you will say, but theres actually a "modular installer") and it's true but for me as an user.. I can't choose which specific features of the products i will use / need or want.
Why people needs something like this? because some people have low end computer or a limited computer with the minimum system requeriments.. and want to buy your 2018 version software. this will help to indies developers/artists/fans that want to create low poly stuff or models but without needing to install a software with arroun 10+gb.
For example not everyone needs the arnold render, its a plus but not necesary sometimes and its big (talking about size and system requeriments)
another example could be.. people doesnt needs features like animation system, so in the installer you should be able to choose what do you need.
I think that you will gain more users implementing this idea.
