Miter command request

Please consider adding a miter command. Although I would like this for hand rail  manipulation it would be useful for many other operations. Please see attached for an example. Also the screen shots for what i am dealing with now.aec hand rail initial resultend result currently edit mesh by hand

You can use Line + Sweep with Union Intersections is on.

You can also add a symmetry mod and rotate it 45degrees
