Integrate Camera Map Gemini into 3ds max

Integrate Camera Map Gemini into 3ds max

I think it would make sense to integrate Camera Map Gemini (http://www.projectgemini.net/CameraMapGemini/) into 3ds max because of the following reasons:

  1. The solution already exists and is working well in 3ds mx 2016.
  2. The Modifier and Texture map greatly improve Camera Mapping workflow!
  3. 3rd party renderers would add better support for the texture map ( e.g. VrayRT)

Please add more reasons if you also think this would be a good idea!

cheers

Henning

Think you should talk to some of the matte painters from the 3Ds Max Generalists at ILM and other 3Ds Max VFX studios and get their feedback on matte painting tools for Max.

Agreed, 3ds Max sorely needs better tools for image-based modeling, and proper camera mapping is one key aspect.
