Improve snapping modes

It would be useful to add some new snapping modes to facilitate precision modeling :

 - Snap to intersection : this should work both for shapes (snap to intersection of lines) and geometry (snap to intersection of edges)

 - Make Perpendicular snap work with geometry objects to be able to snap to faces and edges

Snap to Intersections is something I've wanted since before Dinosaurs walked the Earth. 

Just add all the Snap from AutoCad.

 

I miss also the snap at the extension of an edge.

-Snap to intersections: To work with any kind of intersection e.g.: line-line, line-edge, line-poly, edge-poly, poly-poly (snap to the line of intersection).

 

-Snap to Bezier Handles: That wouldn't hurt too.

 

I don't think snapping to the extension of an edge is feasible on meshes. Looks like it would be too slow and too messy.

with high(er) polycount snapping becomes a real hassle even if zoomend in close with only a fraction of the vertices left. 

im sure there is an adaptive way to handle this.

VGSnap costs £40 and it Intersection (which is what I want) only appears to work at a sub object level (not what I want - I want it to work for any object / across objects etc).

Snap to Polygon Center is very much needed. Strange to see that Face Center snap is available, but Polygon Center is not.

Agree that also Polygon center it's needed.

Voted. Snapping in 3DSMax is a leading cause of Tourette's syndrome.

Also can you add a way of using the scale tool with snapping? Like whe you have take your selection and from on of the vertices that belongs to that selection you start to scale and then that you can snap it to Vertex and this affect the scaling.

Please overhaul the grid snapping to work like other modern modeling and real time engines. Current grid snapping only works only a single plane (perspective grid). Having a grid snap that works more like Maya, UE4, Unity, etc would be highly beneficial for structural modeling that needs to consistently be on the grid. 

Essentially the gizmo will snap to grid increments regardless of the actual perspective grids position. Also works in local translation

Now that you are working  Snaping Pivot worth checking these stuff out as well!
