I would like to see simple drag dimensions that can be used to illustrate the size of objects / designs simply rather than having to add them crudely in Photoshop afterwards.

You might want to start using the DIMaster script:

I tried that but it was so badly put together It was easer to render then add dims in Photoshop. I would like a total upgrade of that idea so it was a slick quick solution.
