God, I don't want to be as powerful as Blender, but at this point just let me draw simple references on the screen like Maya.

With like this tool, I can easily improve my keyframe character animation.

Even if it is only implemented as a screen mask, I will be satisfied.

For the moment, you only need to:

1. Draw strokes in the viewport

2. The stroke can follow the viewport to pan and rotate

3. The strokes update as the timeline changes

I can't believe this hasn't been pushed forward for the later releases, even after blender showing as of late how powerful a tool like this is for iteratively designing and animating.

I'd absolutely love a tool like this to be implemented, even if primitive.
