Conversions dimension tool for reference planes

Conversions dimension tool for reference planes

Currently 3dsMax   has no easy way to just input the pixel width and Height of a picture.

Why not indicate a plane is a reference plane and provide a pixel dimension to 3ds inches dimension wizard to make it a no brainer to place reference material.

In fact the term Length is ambiguous. No idea why it was used

Width, Height and Depth are obvious. Why use the term Length and muddy the waters.

That being it is very often we get a picture in pixel width and height. It would be great to place that into a panel such that you simply place the pixel width and height and generate the proper inches on any reference plane being dimensioned and if so flagged as a reference plane auto positioned and pivot centered and positioned at a specified x,y,z  position when created or 0,0,0 assumed.  Such a great feature that would be - It could be added to the plane

currently the reference pictures are placed as bitmap material applied to the plane unlike Maya which has a specific feature. It too does not have the dimensioning wizard I am suggesting here. It would be a great convenience and that is something typical in the design process. Its absurd that this is still done so oddly with bitmap material and creating a plane  to apply it to anyway. Also in addition to alt-X I suggest a border option only so the edges of the shape being modeled is shown without any color or grey. sometimes its hard on our eyes that way and what we need is more outline while we still need

the shaded reference plane.
