Conform compound object is a good old fashion tool that has limitation on it
- Soft selection isn't supported
- Is not suitable for rig (or any little complex assemblies that would be animated) due to its hardly reachable operands
- Is not Procedural (couldn't turn off or even delete conform effect and get back to main mesh)
And yes I know that there is lots of great scripts and MCGs out there like:
geometry-projection
conformist
va-mesh-conform
but there must be a Common, Unique and powerful wrapping tool for 3Ds MAX that rebuilt from base, multi-threaded with fast algorithms, just like other 3d packages:
