Clipping planes with type-in

Clipping planes with type-in

I would love to be able to "type-in" the viewport clipping planes of my default views and perspective view.
Right now with the yellow triangular sliders it is always quite hard to get the values right and since there is no scale it is alot of guesswork. And that same yellow slider UI for the viewport clipping is not so nice to get on the viewport grabs that we quite frequently utilize in our sketchwork.

I'd would like to be able to open a dialog box with near and far clippingplanes as well as beeing able to show/hide the UI in the viewport. And in this dialog it would be welcome to copy these settings to all other viewports or copy paste the settings to specific viewports. Possibly that these setttings are then exposed somewhere in the Viewport Seetings and Peferences along with the current checkbox for the clipping planes for the perspective view.

It's unbelievable why this hasn't been implemented yet.

When working with large scenes it's you likely find z-fighting because of the low precision full clipping range means. But it doesn't require much change to the "near" clipping plane to make most of the z-fighting disappear. The current problem is that it's hard to pinpoint something near to the default "near" value without ending up with a setting that is either too far or too near.

It's frustrating.

And while we're at it, expose this to Maxscript so that viewport clipping can be set by scripts.
