There are two options to extract an operand from the boolean modifier: Extract and Extract as copy.
I would like a third button: Extract as instance. Because if you can extract an operand as an instance you can manipulate the geometry of the instance and the operand will change too. This makes it possible to change properties or the geometry of an operand without having to extract it and then re-add it later.
