Adjust Height of Timeline

Adjust Height of Timeline

As of just now the default height of the timeline is very small and can be annoyingly delicate to work with, having the ability to change the height of the timeline would be great. In Maya you simply select and drag the timeline up and you can increase the height to whatever your want, I'm surprised this isn't already a feature inside 3ds Max but it would make all the difference when animating / dealing with multiple keys on the timeline.

You can do exactly this. Grab the edge and drag to increase the height of timeline (the portion with the keyframes).

But maybe you meant something else.

@sebastian___This is what I meant but that doesn't work on my end, what version of 3ds Max are you using?

I'm using 3ds max 2018, but I am sure it's the same in all or most versions.

I thought maybe the locking menu has an influence on this. Menu/Customize/Lock UI Layout - but it has no effect.

Another thing which could be, but I think  you probably tried this - it has a very narrow and particular area from where you can grab the edge to drag. It's the area in lower edge of the viewport.

@sebastian___Thanks for the reply, I've tried dragging from all areas but unfortunately no luck.
