A rotation controller that doesn't care about going upside down.

A rotation controller that doesn't care about going upside down.

I'm sick and tired of having to worry about my object and its future orientation, or have to get creative with maxscript or other means.  If it's going to flip upside down, it should be able to continue as one expects, and not pop on another axis.  A new controller entirely would be good, so it doesn't break old scenes.

FWIW, Quaternions (TCB Rotation) can be a solution to gimbal problems in some cases. In other cases, maybe a solution could be a new history-dependent controller that takes into account the previous frames and from that understands when not to flip?
