3D Max Heavy Files | Purge

I would like to see something to clean up heavy files and remove directly unnecessary parts, Similar to Purge in Autocad.

you can use Layers or state. that is what I know.

You will find State under "Rendering" menu.

What I need is to see something to clean up heavy files not a way to make the file usage easier.

I just looked at this conversation. I had a 17 mb file just containing 2 sconces and wanted to merge it with my current file, and I didn´t understand why it was 17 mb..in the end, I erased all empty layers and most importantly, all scene states with the scene states manager. That reduced the file size to what the geometry alone should take, 836 kb. I hope that helps.
