Xref scale

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I have a fairly big scene with lots of Xrefs and everytime I load it there is a message that comes up for the re-scaling. I have to click ok for every one and it takes forever. Is there a preference so that max will just rescale them without hitting ok over and over.

My master scene is in meters and things im referenceing are in inches and some in centemeters. I know I can go to reach one and change their units but there is alot of objects and some of them are my plants library that I don't want to change.

Anyone have an esy soloution?

Thanks,

David

Hi David,

I sent you a separate email (based on the Autodesk-escalated case from this forum posting), but I want to make sure our online community is aware of this as well.

Please note that this X-Ref unit/scale mismatch issue is known to our developers, and has been logged as a defect in our internal database. I don't know when a fix might be forthcoming, but I am monitoring this issue with our developers. If I get a workaround, I'll let everyone know.

Thanks for your patience, and best regards,

Hi David,

Just wanted to mention that our most excellent user "Spacefrog" mentioned in the thread below that he may have a MAXScript fix for this issue coming later today. I'm hoping that this will be an acceptable workaround until we get an internal fix from our developers.

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-3ds-max-design-general/max-2016-xref-units-mismatch-error/m-p/...

I'll be monitoring these threads and will add his scripted solution to our internal database/defect report when he uploads it. Thank you for your patience.

Best regards,
