UI "reset" EVERY time max encounters an error in startup

Am I the only one having this problem?

3/10 times 3D Studio Max starts up there is some .dll that failed loading or a file he can't find.

When Max starts after this he resets everything...

*startupscreen is back
*goes back to default layout

and every time i need to reset everything, it's a JOKE

nota bene: the most dangerous thing in this is the scale that is being reset.

we work in cm and the default was inch, when I opened a scene modelled in cm he AUTOMATICALY rescaled everything on 39,37% (cm > inch) without asking anything

nah that was a problem before, I had copied my toolbars and keybord shortcuts from the previous version

that gave problems, so i went back to the default and only copied the keybord shortcuts and manualy redid 20% so far of the tooldbars... you should see my 2012 toolbars...

so but do u think copying the keybord shortcuts alone can give problems as well?

if so... seriously.... redoing everything...

I'm also having this problem. Is there any fix for this? Is it fixed in one of the product updates? It's incredibly frustrating.
