Transfering Objects between files?

For example, lets say that I have 5 objects in a scene and each one contains modifiers, how can I transfer the 5 objects (hopefully with their modifiers) to a different 3ds max file / scene?

I know I could just export every single object as an .OBJ, but that would be really slow if I wanted to transfer more than 5 objects, plus they wouldn't have the modifiers anymore.

So its there a way to do this or not? 😄

I once came across a script that said it would allow you to copy and paste models between open scenes.  On ScriptSpot.com if I recall correctly.  I didn't try it, but thought it was intriguing.  Might be worth a shot as well.
