Support to generate Webp image files

Hi,

Is there any plan to support WEBP images in the future? I tried to find any information and the unique documentation page that I have is this: Image File Formats | 3ds Max 2021 | Autodesk Knowledge Network

most of the softwares support Webp images, but 3ds Max still does not, I hope it will be supported in the coming versions.

Only read capability at the moment, but if there is enough interest, nothing speaks against implementing output too

Though webp is not really an ideal format to render too, as it only supports 8bit per channel

Indeed, supporting WebP in 3ds Max would be very useful for exporting assets to modern 3D web frameworks, such as Verge3D. Blender and glTF 2.0 already support this format. Hopefully 3ds Max (and possibly Maya) can make it happen too!

Agree, I just got a request to create all images in webp format but I couldn't find the option in 3ds max, really frustrating.
