Max got worse with slower and slower UI. More you use it slower it gets to get into modified object options even native stuff like Sub objects options for edit poly etc.

Watch this video made by Itoo even they have problems  https://youtu.be/2fTWWd5N6qU?t=15

please fix it.

Thanks

Hi @coilbookmedia

What version of 3ds Max are you using? I'll be the first to admit that there were problems with the UI speed, especially when switching between subobject modes in editable poly, but we've done 3 iterations on that code since to make it more performant. The attached video shows me switching SO modes in 3ds Max 2018.4 on the left, and an early build of 3ds Max 2021 on the right. 3ds Max 2021 went live today.

Thank you.  We still use 2020 due to a lot of plugins not supporting 2021.  Can you release 2020 patch fix it?

These fixes are included in 3ds Max 2020, just make sure you've grabbed the latest update as they were pushed in 2020.1. The latest is 2020.3

And most, if not all plugins should work with 3ds Max 2021 as well. We did not break plugin compatibility with this release, but you may need to force install them into the 2021 folders if the plugin vendors haven't updated their installers yet.

Hi,

It seems that max even 2020.3 version gets slower and slower overtime and usually PC or max must be restarted. I attached the video how slow is Forest Pack to open after selecting it.  Thanks
