share view missing from menu

Hi,

3D studio max had a "share view" option for some time. This feature disappeared recently on all our 3D studio max

2020 and 2021 installations. Probably with an update install.

It should be located under file/share view

I tried adding the feature back by adding it to the UI from the toolbar menu. But refuses to work.

Any ideas?

what version of 2021 you are on?

the latest version is 2021.3.2

Could this be renamed or relocated in 3D studio max?

As it seems, the Autocad share view version is still working.

The only work around I found is making an archive for the data and manually uploading it to the share view main page on the Autodesk site. It's a lot more work, but does the job for now, until a solution is found.

We just find out there was a problem with some of our licenses. So hopefully fixing this will fix the shared view problem!

Hey,

I found out the issue could be caused by a custom render engine.

I started a post on their forum:

I can agree that installing Corona somehow deletes it from the menu drop down. To add it back in I go to "customize User Interface" and create a new toolbar with the "Share View" function, then hit "Save". After restarting the application the toolbar still exists and the feature shows up n the "File" menu like it's supposed to.
