I've read previous posts from a few years ago, but haven't seen anything recent. Is there a way to see thumbnails of Scene files in Windows Explorer?

Thanks for your help, but I can’t seem to find a Service pack for 2018 other than 3ds Max 2018 Populate High Resolution Data
Thanks in advance.

@artgrailwrote:A small addition, how to change the overlay max icons in thumbnail view:
There’s a branch in the registry, here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\SystemFileAssociations\
So if you add .max extension to it, then add String Value “TypeOverlay” and add a path to 3ds max icon
(for 2017 it’s here: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2017\Icons\icon_main.ico),
the overlay icons for max files will be changed.
Maybe you need to rebuild the icon cache for this patch to work.
Well I'll be... this actually worked, thank you so much! I tried literally everything else possible and thought I was just going to have to live with those annoying blank icons...
2 notes: I had to get the icon path from a shortcut (drag out the 3ds max icon from the start menu to the desktop, right click, properties, "change icon" and you can copy/paste the icon path to the TypeOverlay string from there).
Also, in order to get the icons to quickly and easily update after you input the reg string, just right click a max file, properties, change "open with" program, and just re-select 3ds max, and it'll instantly update... no need to rebuild cache or even restart.
Thanks again!
Hello...
I am in my 60's and I am having a hard time seeing the models in my Thumbnail viewer ...Question ..Is there away to enlarge the Thumbnail viewer
Thanks
I am using Total Commander and the 3dsmax preview plugin, which shows the preview image in the resolution in which it was stored..
