resolution question

Hello,

I am a new 3D Max spanish student, I have to say that I don't speak English, so I will try to explain my question as clear as possible. Thank for you patient and my hundreds of written mistakes.

My problem is about the screen resolution. My computer is a IMac 5K with 5120 x 2880 top to1856 x1392 bottom. Some of work space and group of icon in 3D Max are very very small, impossible to watch. I tried to turn the screen resolution into a lower proportion, but it didn't work because some parts of the screen were out. So, it is very difficult for me keep learning this amazing and complicated tool with pannels almost impossible to watch. This is a brief view of my problem. So, could you tell me how could I set the better screen resolution?

I hope you have a solution for me, and I wait for you answer. If you need more information, please ask.

Thanks very much from Gran Canaria

I'm afraid that there is no solution to this problem for the moment. I believe that Autodesk is working on it though.

There is a long thread about this very issue.

Sorry for the bad news.

Hi again Dean,

Thanks for your answer. It is possible that Autoesk hasn't actualize Max for W10? I can't understand it. Do you think that I could solve my problem if I install Windows7? I heard that Max runs ok in W7. Do you think it is true?

Thanks.

I can attest that Max does run well in Windows 7. That is the OS i'm using now. However, I don't think that MAX is optimized for really high res monitors, regardless of what OS you are running.
