The result you get when you render is influenced by multiple factors like gamma settings, exposure, lighting, material, etc.

If I understand correctly, you want what you see in Photoshop to be exactly the same when you render in 3ds Max? That will not be so simple as you'll need to get a combination of things correct.

A few questions?

  • Are your Photoshop images are 8-bit/channel or higher (ex: HDR)
  • What renderer are you using?
  • Are you using a linear or exponential workflow?
  • What type of exposure control are you using?

I think the question to ask here is do you really want just the photos to look like they are unaffected by the conditions of the scene? That would look unrealistic.

All materials are affected by lighting and exposure. You can have a room with pure white walls but if your lights are green then the walls will appear green. If the lights are dark then the walls will be appear to look darker. Trying to play with the material/texture so that it looks unaffected by the environment will involve a lot of trial and error which would be a lot of wasted time in my opinion.

If you really want the photos to look like the originals then fastest way is to do a render and then open the render in something like Photoshop and use the image transform tools to place your images where they should be on the walls.
