Parameter window not updating in Slate Editor

I have started getting an issue in the Slate Material Editor where the parameter window doesn't up date properly if I select nodes of the same type ( ramp - ramp ) after each other. If I select something different between selections, it's fine ( ramp - whatever - ramp, for example ). I use ramp as an example because that's where I noticed the issue.

If you look at the attached screenshots, the ones with the purple ramps in them are actually 2 different nodes ( you can see the name is different and the highlighted nodes are different too ), the blue ramp is the one that should be displayed for 'map 7'.

This only started happening after I accidentally dragged the parameter window out of the material editor ( though that may be a coincidence )

I am using MAX2024, .1 update, and Arnold 5.6.5.0, Windows 11

Any help / solutions gratefully accepted.

Thanks

This may not help you much but there seem to be a few issues with Slate that are still unresolved in 2024.1. Keyboard shortcuts don't work properly in some situations. For instance, if you are working in Slate and hit 'Del' to delete a material or somehting, instead, Max will delete whatever is selected in the viewport. This could be one of those issues and hopefully it and others will be fixed when we get a new patch. I think we are past due for a 2024.2 patch.

Hi,

As Rob said above, yup, this is probably just another item in a list of things that needs to be fixed with the SME.
As always, if you ever come across something like this that is obviously not user error, but appears to be a problem with 3DSMax, please report it by going to the main menu -> Help -> Feedback -> Report a problem. This will log it with the devs, and will hopefully be patched in the next update.
