game controller to an input for hot keys

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello, I wanted to use my game controller for assigning hot keys to its buttons.

But as I saw the 3dsmax doesn't get the game pad keys (3dsmax doesn't detect the game controller)

Is there any way to assign the hot keys to this extra keypad (In other word I want to use my game pad in set of extra keyboard. (Detection)

Best Regards.

There is no built in controller functionality in 3ds Max for game controllers. You may be able to use some 3rd party software to map key combinations to your controller buttons but that would have to be arranged outside of 3ds Max. I wouldn't say it's impossible though with time/patience and the right software. It would likely be time consuming and possibly difficult to navigate.
