'Edit Vertices' is absent in the menu bar.

If I make a standard primitive like a box and convert it into an editable object I can edit its vertices. I see 'Weld' and 'Target Weld' in the menu bar. In another case, if I make lines and Sweep them into a poly object then I can't edit its vertices. I don't see 'Weld' and 'Target Weld' in the menu bar in latter.

How to fix it? What should I do with editing vertices of a line object, please?

Put an 'Edit Poly' modifier on top of that new Editible Poly and see if you get your controls back.
