convert a file from 2015 version to work on 2012 version

I did a drawing on 3ds Max design 2012, then opened it up on another computer that had the 2015 version, and now it won't open on the 2012 version. Is there any way that I can open it on 2012 version without having to convert it from a version of 2015?

Hope this makes sense!

Jeremy

Application Menu > SaveAs > SaveAs. At the bottom of the file selection dialog is a dropdown list (under the filename entry field). Select "3ds Max 2012 (*.max)" from that list, give it a filename to save as and click Save. That file should then open in 2012.

NB. You only get 3 previous versions to "SaveAs" so if/when you upgrade to Max2016 you WILL lose the ability to SaveAs a Max 2012 file. 2013, 2014 and 2015 will be available.
