Backburner Server machine Error The process cannot access file: MaxDotNet.config

Hi,

I'm getting a popup saying:

The process cannot access the file "C:\Users\Username\Appdata\Local\Autodesk\3dsmax\2016 -64bit\ENU\en-Us\plugcfg\MaxDotNet.config because it is being used by another process.

Its 3ds max 2016 sp2 on Windows 10 64bit.

Thanks for any advice

I know this might sound silly but have you rebooted and then not opened anything besides Max to see if it still misbehaves? I'm thinking that if the error message is actually telling you the truth (rarely do they) then maybe rebooting will 'stop' the duplicate process. I doubt this is your problem but it's worth a try if you haven't done it.
