Aplication Manager has been replaced?

I get this message at the bottom right side of my computer-screen everytime I open 3DS MAX. I dont know what this means and if I click update will it mess up any of my 3DS MAX sense/assets?

I don't know - sorry - i for one uninstall everything that i have no use for - including such "apps"

Autodesk was using the Application Manager to help you keep your software up to date.  Any new service packs, extenstions, etc., for all Autodesk products were being published through the Application Manager.

 

However, they have replaced it with Autodesk Desktop App.  Pretty much does the same thing, just with a different UI and a little more functionality.

 

Kind of handy.  It allows easy access to the latest updates for your software.
