3dsMax 2017 save verification: path missing?

Hi everyone!
Everytime I save any file, this window pop up.
Even if the path exists, because it is from there that I opened the file, says that the path is missing.

Someone else had the same issue?

Hello @Anonymous and welcome to the community,

At some point you must have had a drive mapped to F:, maybe through MS Office which had your project folder set to it.  (I think OneDrive is the MS Office cloud server, could be incorrect about that.)  To resolve this you most likely need to reset your project folder.  You can do that by going to:  Customize->Configure User Paths-> Set Project Folder to default location at "C:\Users\%username%\Documents\3dsMax".  Make sure to change %username% in that path to your actual user name in Windows.  While you are in there, make sure it's not in your external paths as well.  Then go to Customize->Configure System Paths and make sure it's not in there either.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hello @Alfred.DeFlaminis,

I tryed to save in the default folder C: \ Users \% username% \ Documents \ 3dsMax, and then in my second HDD F: without problems.

it seems that this window pop-up only if I try to save in onedrive path, there is no way to solve?

Thanks for helping

Hello @Anonymous,

Onedrive is technically just a remote storage service, not meant to be worked off of outside of Office that I'm aware of but maybe we can figure something out.  The easiest solution is to save locally and copy to the backup drive F: when you are finished.  Otherwise, can you please create a folder named 'autoback" at the path in the error message for me?  If it's missing a path let's just create that path so it's not missing, is my idea.

Just to be clear though Max was not meant to be run off of a backup drive service and no testing was done on this scenario that I am aware of. If this works but as a result your files end up getting corrupted or don't upload properly, there will be nothing I can do about that.  Just a warning.

I have created a new 3ds Max path in my data drive and works fine. There was no way to use the folder Onedrive.

Thanks for helping

Thank you for the update @Anonymous, I really appreciate it.  It's too bad about the OneDrive but at least your data drive is working ok.  Have a great day!
