Hello,
Right now, on 28 September 2016 ... version 2017 of 3DS Max ... prior to the next version (probably version 2018 in April 2017) ... What are the options for producing stand alone real-time visualisation "products" from 3DS Max (2017)?
Real-time ... game-like, first or third person instant rendering on user motion (game-pad, mouse or VR headset).
Stand-alone ... instant client access to the "Project/Product" (example: new building complex); either by WEBGL over the internet or a stand-alone EXE. Also meaning that the client will not need to purchase additional software just to "enter" the real-time scene.
As far as I know the only options available are to export FBX and build Projects using Unity 3D or Unreal or Cry Engine.
Am I correct?
Thx for reading,
Kevin.

There is also LIVE, which does work on mobile devices for clients to view and has a click to walk there interface in many cases. It may not have all the things you listed because it isn't a game engine, and that seems to be what you are looking for here. It needs Revit I believe and isn't free, but it is pretty spiffy.

I just found the perfect fit for my needs .... FBX Review ...
I somehow missed this jewel. Amazing! I can setup the animations, export to FBX, then the clients can use this to view the model (after they get a quick crash course in using FBC Rview) ... I cant wait to try out FBX Review with a VR headset
... One problem though...
I found 2 versions of FBX Review... the self download and install version from the autodesk website instantly includes the full inteface BUT I cannot figure out how to display the lower interface bar (open file, play buttons and settings) in the Windows Store version of FBX Review... if you know how, please share, Thx...
AND..
Thx for the info on Stingray as well... I missed that too as I was focused on using Unity..
Thx to all for replying...
Kev.
i just installed from the windows store this is what i see

Hello @Anonymous,
I don't know anything about Review but I'll go ahead and see if I can find someone who does support on it to pop into the thread. It's toward OED on Friday as I type this so it may take a bit of time to get a response but I'll do whatever I can. Have a great weekend.
