2010 support for Mac?

Ok, so back when Mac decided to let Windows run as a client in the Mac OS I asked Autodesk if Max 2009 would work in that set up. I was told it wasn't officially supported.

Right now, Max is the only significant item keeping me running Windows. Is the new Max officially supported on a Mac running Windows as a client through Parallels or similar software?

Is anyone running that kind of set up? If so, how well does it run?

I believe 2010 now is officially supported under boot camp 🙂
Check all the tech. docs for more info.
Not sure about Parellels, but very promising!

"Note: Apple® computers based on Intel processors and running Microsoft operating systems are supported using Apple’s Boot Camp. Virtual machine environments are not currently supported."

parallels is virtualisation so it is not supported.

Works just fine on BootCamp.
(need a mouse with a right-click button)

User reports indicate running VM solutions on pre-2010 versions have a tendency to break the license. Not much fun when you need to get work done.

All system requirements and supported operating systems are listed here:

NOTE: Graphic card support is still listed as Max 2009. It usually takes them a while to update the list of supported cards after a new release.

I wouldn't think that running Max in a virtual machine would ever be very productive considering how slow less processor/graphics intensive apps run in parallels.
