Link multiple vertices to multiple objects

Hello guys! I am using the program to create vertex animations for Warband.

I am not experienced with 3dxMax. I use it for a few weeks or so but I understand the basics. This is my model:

I want to make an animation so that the grindstone rotates when the shelf below is pushed down. Therefore I need to connect the end vertices of the small iron rod in the middle to the shelf and the other end vertices to the that iron rotating thing. I have been looking for days on Google how to do this. LinkedXForm is a good solution. However it can only be used for one object, otherwise I get strange results. And the link is being broken upon mesh editing.

Is there anyone who can help me with this? Thanks in advance.

Far better to do it the other way around. Have the board go up and down when the wheel turns.

Simple solution is to run a two bone chain from the pivot of the foot board to any where along its length, say half way, and then to the point at which it would attach on the wheel. Run a single HI IK solver from the root to the tip and link the goal of the solver to the point on the wheel or just to the wheel it self. Link the foot pedel to the first bone in the chain and you can now animate the wheel and the pedel will go up and down.
