Have something follow an animated object while also conforming to a path?

Hello 3Ds Max Community,

 

I have car in my scene that is animated using a path constraint.  I have another object that I want to link to the same position as the car but I also want it to conform to the same path as the car's trajectory. I am familiar with the path deform modifiers  but when I use either of those, I still have to manually key the percentage in order to get it to roughly follow the car in my scene. This method is tedious and not very precise. 

 

Is there a way to get a path deformed object to follow a path constrained object?

Never mind, I found a solution! 

 

Using wire parameters works well, as long as you get the math correct. In order to wire the percent of the path deform modifier to the percent of the path constraint controller, it needed to be multiplied by 100 before adding the offset. 

for example: ((Percent)*100)+0.85
