Thread.lsp modification help

Hey guys,

I am somewhat new to 3d modeling but have been using AutoCAD for years doing 2d work. I am looking for a fairly simple way to do a thread that looks halfway decent in 3d models. I have stumbled upon this lisp and I really do like it. It's simple yet looks better than most I've seen. I am wondering if there is a way to "top" the thread crest. I would like to have a generic size flat on the top of the thread. What I am doing now, is taking the finished 3d solid extruding a solid cylinder that is .005" smaller in diameter than the nominal thread and using the intersect command to clip the crest of the thread. Would it be possible to add a command to the current lisp to do this? Or is there another way to get the same result?

Thanks in advance for your help,

LJ
