Hi @Anonymous,

Hope you are well! Smiley Happy

I would review some of my comments from my original post regarding the AutoCAD certified professional exam as they are also relevant for the Revit Exams.

A couple of additional pointers are the following:

  • Pick the Revit Exam which suits your profession the best (you could always do all of them, but maybe start with the discipline which you feel most comfortable with).
  • The general “word on the streets” is that the Revit MEP exam is the hardest one opposed to Architecture and Structures.
  • You can choose between the following 3x Revit Certified Professional Exams: MEP, Architecture or Structure.
  • You can choose to write the 2015 exam versions or the current versions. HAVE A LOOK HERE

One of the top reasons why people fail the exams is due to time management in the exams. To increase your proficiency/speed is to learn Revit Shortcuts early on, or start using them. The next thing is, the desktop which you write use to write your exam might not be the fastest desktop ever, so I generally open the exam files prior to opening the exam. There is time to do it while you read through the exam rules before starting the actual exam.

Here is a list of e-books which you could use as learning material:

REVIT MEP

REVIT ARCHITECTURE

REVIT STRUCTURE (a bit outdated)

CADLearning is a great resource… (for me prior to exams… they also have “Overall Knowledge” and “Skill Assessment Tests” which could also help…)

Good luck with all the learning! Smiley Wink

@Anonymous, here is also a list of Revit training resources (videos) on LYNDA

You might also want to have a look at Autodesk University videos or you could try the Revit training videos available on Autodesk Design Academy - both of the last mentioned resources have free training videos.

I hope this helps! Smiley Wink

Hi @Anonymous,

Yes, that class is for free, there is a couple of good pointers prior to the exam on the AU website.

As for your signature, I created one for you. Download/Open the attachment, it is a Notepad file containing code which you require for your signature to look like this:

noora-sig.png

In the code which I provided, open it and edit one small thing, remove only the XXXXXXX's and put your Acclaim name as featured in your Acclaim URL where the XXXXXXX's currently appear.

noora-sig-1.png

Where to find you name in the mentioned URL?

After you replaced your name in the code, Ctrl+A (Select All) the code followed by Ctrl+C (Copy) and then Ctrl+V (Paste) the code under your Community Account >> Preferences >> Personal >> Personal Information >> Signature.

I hope this helps! Smiley Wink

@Anonymous - Back to your exams. haha - Firstly, congrats on passing your AutoCAD Exams! I'm very glad that my pointers helped you achieve your Goals! Did you use the advice which I gave you regarding registering with the Student Expert Network? I would strongly recommend it for preparing for your Revit Exams. Here is a glimpse of all the free resources which I have at my disposal:

It doesn't look like I use much of it, haha, but I've been on Revit for about 7/8 years, so I use it only to review a couple of things when needed. CADLearning really helps some of our inexperienced/junior staff apart from my hands-on training. I'm going to start reviewing a couple of things under the Revit Architecture section as I'm also writing that exam in the next couple of weeks.

Hope this helps! Smiley Wink

Thanks for sharing these great resources. I came here looking for advice on the Revit certified professional and was wondering if anything has changed since the last post. I am scheduling my exam in a week and wanted to make sure I pass it the first time around. So far ive completed the lynda.com revit essentials training and the revit certified professional test prep courses.

What materials did you end up using to study? Only the Lynda videos?
