I am creating an installer pack for an Arx tool for AutoCAD 2009 - 2012, and I am wondering if I need to include the Microsoft VCRedistributables with that or can I assume they are installed with AutoCAD?
As long as you've compilied your ObjectARX DLLs (and other supporting DLLs) with the supported compiler listed for a particular version of AutoCAD, then the MS redistributables should not ne required. AutoCAD is compiled with the same compiler as we require for ObjectARX development, so the correct MS redistributables will already have been installed by AutoCAD.
Of course, ObjectARX 2009 requires a different compiler to ObjectARX 2010-2012.
