just hoping if anyone can give me advice on where to start.
i have no programming experience, so i am really starting from my abc''s here.

It's very good as a learning aid. I'm still
a n00b and I found it very useful.

If the OP has no programming experience at all,
which is what his post suggests, then this would
be somewhat premature. The .NET Developers
Guide presumes the reader already has some
basic programming skills.

The links I have posted have helped me loads,
that includes starting off from scratch. In fact,
the video (by Fenton Webb) that I mention is
what is responsible for me starting to learn
vb.net after many a false start.

I've also had good success with Jerry Winter's book VB.Net for AutoCAD. The
2010 version was just released.

Yeah I have his old one, and the new one. I found them very helpful.

Highly recommend taking this path. Get the basics nailed first.
