Windows 8 & Revit

Hello, I am having massive trouble trying to get my laptop to downlaod the student version of Revit 2014 (I have windows 8). For some reason it will let me go through part of the process untill it starts to install on the laptop, it will only take 5 mins, then come up that it is complete but some items did not install propoerly, (Revit fails to install). Now before I click on download, it gives me the option to select which products to install and these are, Revit & materials database, but the revit one has a yellow caution triangle beside it, might this be the reason why it is failing on me? any help given will be greatly appreciated.
