Just had a look at the Raster Design read-me, it shows "Install and License Methods Must Match Host Application". Please, tell me this doesn't mean the license types have to match?? Surely this is a typo, after the screaming at this from the 2010 release (and the mixed licensing fix posted)?

Out of the box AutoCAD Raster Design 2011 installations can be a mix of Deployment or DVD/Download. For example there is no longer a need to build a Deployment to install a multi-seat standalone AutoCAD Raster Design 2011 on a multi-seat standalone AutoCAD 2011.
You can also use a network seat of AutoCAD Raster Design 2011 for a standalone or multi-seat standalone AutoCAD 2011.
The only mixed mode licensing that does not work is standalone or multi-seat standalone AutoCAD Raster Design 2011 on network AutoCAD 2011. Those with standalone licenses of AutoCAD Raster Design 2011 and network seats of AutoCAD 2011 can request a no cost uplift to a network license for AutoCAD Raster Design 2011 by contacting the Autodesk Business Center:

Also see my post here for 2010. An uplift is also available for customers with standalone licenses of AutoCAD Raster Design 2010 and network seats of AutoCAD 2010.
Thank the sainted Boole, I thought I was wholly screwed for a moment. Thanks for the prompt response Douglas - it really *is* good to have AutoDesk folks in here on a regular basis.
Could you have a look into getting the readme updated to reflect what you have said here?
Hello,
I have a customer who has an NLM version of Inventor Suite (which also contains Autocad & Mechanical). His new HP printer was accompagnied with a full version of Raster Design 2011 SLM and he wants to combine those two. Thanks to this post, we've found this isn't possible.
You mentioned there should be a free uplift (at no cost) in those cases of SLM -> NLM of Raster Design Suite. Apparantly, this seems to be wrong at the EMEA-region when contacting the appropriate channels. One should pay for this upgrade. Or is this a wrong communication among the Autodesk-channel?
Best Regards,
Wim
