Custom Drawing Title Block
There should be an option to create custom drawing title blocks. I want to create a drawing but do not need all of the information shown in the current title block. There should be a way to at least select what information shows in the title block.
I couldn't agree more. 1) A drawing with no title block should also be an option for experimenters. 2) Users should be allowed to create and import their own title blocks--AND/OR--create custom title blocks natively inside Fusion 360 with text and line drawing tools AND have the ability to save them for future use. This would be very easy to implement.
This is a great idea. I was going to ask for a form style of the current generic title block so that a logo and information could be quickly entered, possibly in more than one font size, but having a custom title block would be wonderful.
Just saw your respest to flip the parts list to anchor to the top of the title block. This is already possible. When you see the parts list preview attached to the cursor, just keep dragging towards the titleblock. The preview will automatically flip as you cross the drawing's halfway point. Then you can specify the top right corner of the titleblock as your insertion point.
And regarding your revision block request, are you using an ISO or ASME specific revision block and markers? Or your own variation?
Thanks for the feedback and keep the requests coming.
Thanks,
Andrew

Ah, sorry mate, I've described an enhancement thats coming in the next update. Sorry for wasting your time. Once you get the next update, the parts list will behave this way. There's no switch or toggle, and parts list size doesn't matter. The parts list just flips as you cross the midpoint of the drawing.
Thanks,
Andrew

I would also like to have a custom title block or at least get rid of some of the information that I don't need. I would really like to be able to get rid of the entire left column. It's just me here. I dont really need the drawn, approved, checked fields. I could really better use that space for drawing. The only thing I've been able to figure out is how to delete the entire title block.
In other software I have used, you could explode the title block and then just click and delete (or edit) the parts you didn't want. That's what I would really like to be able to do.
If you are using something like AutoCAD or Draftsight, You can create a new titleblock block as a seperate file, using the lower right corner as an insertion point, and filled with attributes all named identically (turning off the ones you do not want to see), insert that into the drawing overwriting the existing then execute ATTSYNC. It will repopulate all the fields with the data you entered in Fusion.
I've actually recreated their whole drawing format with borders and all and insert that. It takes a while to get the new format setup with all the attributes but, once done, I can modify their drawing pretty quickly.
Definitely need custom title blocks, plus the following enhancements (please):
1) The option to globally change all the text in a drawing (parts lists, labels, dims with text, notes, etc) to UPPER CASE or Headline Case.
2) A way to define custom anchors for title blocks and tables, so that they snap easily and accurately.
3) SVG logos for title blocks.
4) A simple way to define and store drawing templates and styles, PLEASE don't copy the way in which Inventor does it, SOLIDWORKS' way is more intuitive. I'd prefer styles that live separately from the drawing template(s), and an option to embed a default style if a custom style is not found for a particular template.
5) Give different line thicknesses different colours during title block design so that one can identify them easily, the different thickness lines aren't easy to see on a screen. Well, I struggle.
6) If an A3 paper size template is defined and working, making an A4, A2, A1 and A0 (or A, B, C, D and E) template should be a simple choice of changing paper size - much like it is for Inventor.
7) Watermarks/stamps, please.
8) Some guidelines as to the correct line thicknesses, font sizes, fonts, etc, based on ASME/ANSI/ISO/whatever standards that's included in Fusion's help files so that we don't create complete garbage during title block design.
Agreed, it would be great to 1. remove unnecessary categories from the title block 2. Add new categories altogether 3. change the layout of the box itself (using sketching tools or another way) to add all new boxes and new categories in those boxes.
I just wanted to add my support to this idea. My collegues and I would greatly appreciate the customizable Title Block. Thanks for all that you are doing.
