Design Review constantly asks to update...

...even after applying SP1.

Basically we had DWF Viewer installed previously...uninstalled, rebooted, installed Design Review and then ran the SP1 update. Install and update work fine. However, when opening Design Review, it says "An Update is Available". Downloading the update (again) and installing doesn't fix it, that pops up everytime.

The issue we're having is this one workstation is cutting off the top right corner of DWFs. We have looked at the print options and we are using the exact same options as other workstations, which print fine (same DWF too). We tried the "Clip Pages" option, but it'll either clip the top right or bottom right.

Thinking the SP1 update isn't taking, but not sure why. Thanks in advance for the help.

Have you tried switching off the Auto Update through the registry?

Also, if the other issue is limited to one PC I would recommend taking all
the DWF apps off and then reinstalling ADR alone.

You can find how to do that here:

http://dwf.blogs.com/beyond_the_paper/2006/05/dwf_viewer_turn.html

"...this can be done by editing the registry entry:

hkey_local_machine\software\autodesk\dwf viewer\settings\autoupdate

The CheckInterval item defaults to 90 days but can be set to 0. The NextCheckDate item defaults to 90 days from the last time the user checked for an update. It can be set to a date far in the future."

Chris

I find this does not work. I have created a transform file which sets CheckInterval to 0 during install. The trouble is the first time the application is run for each user these settings are overwritten with pre-configured defaults i.e. Always run update check. The CheckInterval is also reset to 30.

Also the solution detail in the following link does not work either especially as the default designreviewsetup.txt file is set to 0.0.0.00 anyway.
