Temporary Ortho Mode

Since switching to ACad 2015, my ability to toggle a temporary Ortho mode by holding shift is gone. I have cecked that temporaryoverride is set to <1> and that in the CUI the shift key is set to toggle ortho mode on and off (and so is F8). What else can I try? Thanks.

That's been a core funtion in AutoCAD for some time (no user addition/definition required): works fine in plain AutoCAD 2015. There is a slight delay in activation as you know, are you sure your delay is not a little longer?

Maybe you need to reset AutoCAD 2015?

I was never told about this function. Thank you both for letting me know.

Also, I have ACAD 2015 Elec and it works fine in mine.

That didn't work, unfortunately. Thank you for the suggestion.

If your shift key is both set to toggle ortho mode on and off, and as ortho override key; might that not be the issue? I don't think your shift key should be set to toggle ortho mode the way F8 does, but that it should only be set as a temporary override key.

I turned off tempoverride, with shift set to toggle ortho. No change. I then retoggled tempoverride, and then removed shift from the temporary override menu in the CUI, and it still wouldn't work. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have a quick question only because I didn't see it listed in all of your answers. What is Orthomode set for?

When its set off, it should toggle on, and when its on it should toggle off. It does neither.

There is absolutely no need to swear.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
