Hi - Just Instal Building Design Suite Premium and started using Revit 2013 and it seems to run very, very slowly on my computer.
Freeze all windows sistem using 100% for a single Core (windows XP 64bit SP 3, 4GB RAM, Dual Xeon Quad Core 2.33GHz (8 cores), Graphics card ATI Radeon HD 6790.
It's very disapointing to have to wait that long to any command. The first thing I did after it was installed , was check the graphics driver and settings and drivers are up to date.
Revit 2012 works fine, all other 2013 products work fine, except Revit, in the transistion to 2013. the slowness and random crashing issues we've encountered are frustrating especially since the crashes do not create a recovery file.
Conclusions
Whaiting for an Update in Rv 2013
Then using Revit 2012
The unification of Building, MEP & Structural affect the performance ?

Well, I think a new computer is not the real answer for the slow down, if you see this links with revit 2013 users with the same problem :

windows 7 64bit, 12GB RAM, 2.67GHz, NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800 graphics card
Dell Precision T3500 Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, Intel Xeon 3.20GHz, 12 GB RAM, (2) Nvidia Quadro 2000 1GB RAM each.
8 core i7 965 processor with 6Gb of DDR3, 12Gb Ram Quadro NVIDIA cards dual GTX280
And in my home I have the same Issues with my notebook
Windoows 7 64 bit . Intel I5 2,4 Ghz 2dn generation 4 gb NVIDA® Geforce GT540M

Problem SOLVED
Just install the Update 1 and It Worked
NO Problem with Windows XP 64, or the Workstation configuración
The real problem was install the rigth Update for the suite and not for
Revit standalone versión,
And the Update refuse the instalation but work the 3er
chance. That confuse me but this is for the XP for sure.
And the Update window d'ont show a clear progress bar, just freeze
for severas minutes and sudently appear the Correct instalation window
Thanks for all answers
