How to connect to AutoCAD with VB.NET

I have lots of experience with VBA and Lisp but noneVB.NET (2008 Express). Am developing a program in VB.NET that creates a script file based on user selections. (I chose VB.NET for this application as it seems much more robust than VBA).

Once the script has been created, I need VB.NET to go to the active AutoCAD drawing and run the script. I have no idea on how to do this. Can anyone give me an example?

PS. I have imported the AutoDesk name spaces that I "believe" I need and referenced acdmgd.dll and acmgd.dll in my project also so I think I am in the right direction.

Thanks

Hello keithjk,
There should be sample code in your Autocad install showing you how to either
launch Autocad (or connect to an open session).

I run Civil3D and the code is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoCAD Civil
3D 2010\Sample\Civil 3D API\COM\VB_NET\VbDotNetClient (I would look for something
similar in the plain Autocad folder.
