VRED(basic) vs VREDPRO

VRED(basic) vs VREDPRO

Dear Vred team,

we use VRED 2017 basic version at my office. We are now studying it s suitability for deploying it further more within the company and then purchasing new licenses.

I have download the Pro trial version to watch the different tools available.

I feel really strange the way you downgrade the version from pro to basic by simply cutting the visualization and rendering quality (and speed). Please see pictures in attachment.

Of course their should be a reason to have different versions of a software.

But would you explain why pre visualization and rendering are so different between the two versions? I don't see this feature comparison in your comparison web page. This should not be a basic feature for a rendering software ? This does not help us to deploy your software within the company while your competitor (like keyshot) does not make such strange differences in his offer.....

Let me know where is the problem please.

Please post these kind of questions to the General Forum.

But just to answer this: VRED basic always runs in Raytracing while VRED Pro and Design also run in OpenGL. Looking at your screenshots you are comparing a CPU-based raytracing rendering with a GPU based OpenGL rendering. You can clearly see the missing reflections in the VRED Pro version because you didn´t turn on raytracing.

Kind regards

Michael
