Render Farm - Cloud Rendering

Render Farm - Cloud Rendering

It will be very good to have the possibility to use an Autodesk Cloud Service as the "Rendering in the Cloud" also for VRED.

In fact a Render Farm usable with Credit Clouds. For small business could be very useful.

I cant still believe that a software as big under autodesk still doesn't have any render farm support.

I am stuck and cant get my Files rendered.

Have done 3-4 months work in vred and cant find any way to export to any other farm supporting software.

Completely stuck, wish I knew about no renderfarms before.

Maybe you can have your scene rendered here?

We are currently looking at this but it might take some time.

Thanks for raising this point.

Nice to hear you are considering this. It would be great if you had support with AWS Thinkbox Marketplace with Vred Render Node. Or I guess it would be Vred Core so it has support for people that need the GPU raytracing

Is that not possible to come to an agreement with them? Surely that would be easier than trying to implement your own cloud rendering application.

Best,

Richard

Hallo Lukas Any news regarding this topic? It would be very helpful to be able to use VRED with a service like AWS Thinkbox. Best regards, Andreas

@lukas_faethassume this will be via Autodesk Flex then?

i hope not...... flex licenses means "installed software on my pc" ... with named user license system. not the best way for a remote and scalable render farm.

Hope they are thinking to use cloud credits like other services.

Yep which is why it will likely be that sadly.

Having access to occasional HIGH power online render capability would make a lot of sense for me as a VRED user - we'd maybe only need it 2-3 times per year, but when we have big jobs on (complex interior scenes etc) it would be super useful- cool suggestion @Christian_Garimberti !
