A button to compress groups

I would love to see a button to compress all groups of animation curves in the Curve Editor.  I know you can select the Groups and use the slider to compress them, but if you have about 200 curves organized into 30 groups, it's time consuming to constantly close them all manually to try to find the one you're looking for.  This would also be nice to have in the Scenegraph.

do I understand it right, that you want to collapse the tree structure completely such that you only see the top-level items?

Both in the Curve Editor and in the Scenegraph, the slider works on all tree items at once, if you have nothing selected. If the slider is already on the left-most position just drag it a bit to the right and to the very left again, that should collapse everything.

How to get rid of the selection in the Scenegraph: Shift-Right click in the render window.

How to get rid of the selection in the Curve editor: Select any item (left-click) and Ctrl-left click it again.
