VRED Professional 2026 NOT working on Intel iGPU

AutoDesk VRED Professional has issues with rendering/display on my device.
The Windows device I own has the following specs:

  • Intel i5-10210U CPU (Supports OpenGL 4.6, Vulkan)
  • 16 GB DDR4 RAM.
  • Windows 10 Pro 64bit

Why this software does not work on integrated graphics, if OpenGL and Vulkan is properly available? Most people in my university have laptops without discrete GPUs (or Macs...), we cannot use this software so I'm looking for clarification.
Is there a way to make it work, even if it's slower it would be good to make it work.

We are not testing on Intel GPUs, in the past their drivers have been pretty buggy and break from one version to the next. What is often worse is that laptop manufactures often ship drivers that are completely outdated so manually updating the drivers to the latest official Intel release is probably your best chance.

Thank you for the reply. I already had a clean installation of the latest graphics drivers (7-10th gen) from Intel Driver & Support Assistant. Although I believe it is just not working even with the latest software updates available to me.
I'm guessing that integrated graphics generally doesn't work at all.
Do you think I would have more luck if I install VRED on a new machine with a GTX960?

I haven´t tried it with an old GPU like that in a while, so I don´t know how the driver state is for that. I would expect that OpenGL still works though but as I said, I haven´t tested it in a while. The oldest GPU I personally use from time to time is a RTX 2080, so I know that that still works fine.

Is there any known support for AMD Radeon Vega integrated graphics? From processors like Ryzen 5 7430U or Ryzen 7 6800H?
Thanks. I'm mostly interested in using OpenGL real time render.

We are not testing or supporting these either but we do have a few AMD systems with just integrated GPUs that work fine. It is basically the same as with Geforce GPUs: We don´t support them but they most likely will work.
