visualizing CFD data in vred

hello there!

does anyone know if it's possible to import a set of CFD data in vred and render them in some ways?

i'm interested in aerodynamic/flow-simulation data in particular.

or, at least a plugin that creates a visualization that looks like a CFD simulation

I do it frequently.

Export the CFD to WRL.

Find a color gradient that accurately represents your data ( i had to ask someone who works with photoshop to do this)

Apply that color gradient to a material

Import the wrl

Apply the material to the imported geometry.

The ones at 1:30min in this video are animated with 2 clipping planes to give the impression that they are actually flowing along the shape of the car.
