Leap Motion can not work in VRED 2020.1

Hello all, 

I want to use Leap Motion system in VRED 2020.1, but it doesn´t work. 

I follow this guide and download the folders from this guide.

and i am sure Lip-leap and ScriptPlugins folder are saved at the correct location in my computer.

i wonder if new configuration files needed? or VRED 2020.1 can not support Leap motion?

Does anyone help me about this subject? Thank you in advance for your answers.

Hi, I have used the leap motion with every 2020 version, on every update.

Do you see the leap motion mene appear on the vred menubar?

Could you Check the terminal for possible errors? Or check in the windows temp folder, in a vred subfolder, for the vred log. Maybe in the log file you can find some errors or problems.

Hi, are you sure to have installed the correct leapmotion drivers?

you have too install the driver provided in the link in the guide, not the desktop standard drivers.

http://developer.leapmotion.com/orion/

or maybe a latest version.

thank you so much. But the leap motion does not work.

I installed the latest Leap Motion driver, and the Python syntax error fixed.

There is still no menu plugin appears in the Vred menu. and i can not see my hands in the screen.

Same happens to me, and I still don't know how to solve. Everithing work with leap motion but VRED doesn't, it's like thre is something blocking the library

Can you check you can use it in other VRED older versions?

sincerely i don't remember if i used with the 2021 ...

For sure i use it on a 2020, probably on all the 3 updates.

But the Leap motion can not work on my workstation. i just guess that there is wrong install package or special environment setting needed to make it work.

currently, i followed the instruction and download the scripts from the following link:

when i open the VRED, Leap motion and run the script in VRED, the VRED terminal shows the information as follows:

as you said, the Leap motion can work on VRED 2020 version, in my oponion, the only difference between us is that the computer environment and software setting and the package installed.

so could you please share us the detailed instruction and scripts you used on your computer? and the terminal hints in your VRED when the leap motion working well?
